FULL PODCAST EPISODE 037
Some of the best times I’ve had have come from being spontaneous and letting go of my agenda. Forget about leading with your mind and body, lead with your soul, and your body and mind will follow.
The happiest people in the world spend their money on 3 S’s regardless of how much they have, and those S’s are skills, sweat, and social. Skills are trying something new and enhancing your abilities and knowledge, sweat is working out and spending money on trainers and gyms, and social is going out with friends and doing group activities like restaurants and movies. The fourth S I would add is spontaneity, like giving your money away or going on a journey.
It’s not healthy to define yourself through external means, so don’t collect a bunch of material possession, spend your money on experiences. Material things decrease by use, whereas spiritual things increase by use, and the way to do that is to be spontaneous and live in the moment. Share with your friends and try new things, so that when you come back to work, you’re much clearer and more focused. What really matters at the end of the day is human connection and doing things with people.
One of the worst things you can do on vacation is create a strict schedule where you see and do certain things at certain times, but you’re life is already scheduled enough, so be spontaneous when you’re on a trip. Letting go is a magical process where the universe makes the plans for you, and it’s never the way you expect it to be. Stop hesitating and just go, even if it’s something small like going for a walk with no destination.
To your continued evolution, live it up with POWER, PURPOSE & PASSION!
