LIFE HACK #5: Power of MEDITATION
FULL PODCAST EPISODE 035
On today’s episode of the Power, Purpose, and Passion podcast we’re talking about the power of meditation, and how you can learn to be still and live in the moment. When’s the last time you just sat in total awe of the world around you and contemplated the smaller things in life? We are human beings, not human doings, but the modern world pushes us to always be doing and keeping busy. However, interior rewards outweigh the exterior rewards tremendously.
The more you use spiritual qualities like love, compassion, and fulfillment, the more they’ll increase, but the more you use material qualities the more they degrade and decrease. This is the difference between spiritual and material power. The more you share your light and joy, the more it grows, whereas sharing your material possessions will decrease how much you can use them. The most important qualities are those that cannot be seen by the human eye.
Just take 5 minutes to look out the window. Notice how much your ego is berating you for not being more busy in that moment, and how negatively it babbles on. You are not your ego, you are the one listening to your ego, the observer. You can meditate through nature, silence, being still, mantras, prayers, music, dance, or whatever works for you. Heaven is a state of awareness, not a geographical place in the universe. If you can’t find the power of the universe within yourself, you can’t find it externally.
I want you to just take a moment and notice your breath, notice the space between the in-breath and out-breath. Until you experience the present moment, you won’t fully understand its power and benefits. Everyone’s ego is different, some people are really attached to things, some are attached to praise, some crave accomplishments, and so on. It takes discipline, so don’t give up, keep pushing through and you’ll naturally enjoy being in a meditative state more often.
To your continued evolution, live it up with POWER, PURPOSE & PASSION!
