LIFE HACK #4: Ask for HELP
FULL PODCAST EPISODE 034
This episode of the Power, Purpose and Passion podcast is the fourth episode in our 4 day series on life hacks, and it’s all about asking for help, being open to learning from others, and getting help from others. I’ll shares tips on how you can open yourself up and ask for help in the face of your life challenges.
If you want to be the best version of yourself, ask someone who is where you want to be to help you. Imagine this example, self-help books often take years to make, the author spent a lifetime learning the lessons they put on paper, and you can buy their book for a few dollars and read it over a few days. Wouldn’t you say this is a sure way to quicken your learning curve and gain so much more insight? Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a rare strength, and no matter what you’re going through, there’s always someone willing and able to help you. People appreciate you opening up to them and enjoy the connection.
Furthermore, asking for help shouldn’t only happen when you’re in a bad place. Even when you’re doing okay it’s still beneficial to ask for help and continue your education, which doesn’t end once school ends by the way. When you ask for help, others feel the rewards and joy of contributing and serving you, since you’re giving them a chance to help. There’s 3 steps you need to take for this process to be most effective. First, determine your challenge, then find someone who has gone through this same challenge, and finally follow through with whatever strategies you receive. Getting an outside perspective helps you see your way out of a problem.
To your continued evolution, live it up with POWER, PURPOSE & PASSION!
