How to Conquer OVERWHELM

Today is day 4 in our 5 day series on conquering the biggest things holding you back from becoming your best self. People tend to get overwhelmed by taking on more than they can handle, assuming that multitasking will keep them going, but your brain isn’t equipped to succeed like this. You need to be fully present in order to give your full self.
My mentor gave me the acronym WIN, which stands for what’s important now. What’s one thing you can do right now to feel fulfilled? Get back into the habit of taking control over your mind and stop wasting time. Overwhelm leads to procrastination, which is another subject we’ve covered this week. Something you can do right now to eliminate overwhelm is to first take a step back, then ask what you can do right now to feel fulfilled and get closer to your goals, and finally set an objective and move towards your goal consistently. This will put you in the zone, or flow state, which is the best state to be in for productivity.
Another strategy is to ask what the most loving thing is that you can do for yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed, or what you can do for others. Get in a state of gratitude, since you can’t feel empowerment from a state of fear and overwhelm. It’s okay to say no to people and do the best thing for yourself, you’re not letting them down. Don’t beat yourself up when you make mistakes, realize how to do things better and take care of yourself. Just remember not to turn small problems into big disasters.
