5 Foods to eat for ENERGY

The 5 S’s of super vitality is a simple approach to eating for ultimate vitality, strength, flexibility, endurance, and fuel for life.


The first S stands for SMOOTHIES.

Once you finish your morning routine, you can drink a nutrient packed smoothie that includes fruits and berries, such as frozen berries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. It is said that the more colorful your food is, the healthier it is, so make sure your smoothie has all the colors of the rainbow. Every color in nature has a specific function; reds detoxify blood, oranges and yellows are anti-inflammatory, and browns are for fiber and digestion. Other great things you can add to your smoothie include Vega one powder, bananas, spinach, kale, and avocados. Then add water, almond milk, or any other liquid that suits your needs. Hemp seeds, which are a vegan superfood high in fiber and protein, are also a great add-on. Throw all of these into the blender and drink the energy!

The second S stands for SQUEEZE.

Any peak performer will tell you to get a juicer and have regular freshly squeezed drinks. The difference between a smoothie and a freshly squeezed juice is that in a juice you lose the fiber, but you get instant nutrition upon drinking. You can have a few juices a day for energy boosts, and throw the remaining fruits and veggies in the blender and add other ingredients to make a smoothie.


The third S stands for SALADS.

Salad is such an easy recipe to make, and very customizable to your taste. As long as you have a base consisting of greens such as lettuce, kale, or spinach, you can top it with anything healthy that you enjoy. It’s also a good practice to have all the colors of the rainbow in your salad. Salads will help optimize your digestive system, which is so crucial for your optimal health, as 70% of your immune system is a result of your digestive system. Another way to ignite your digestive system is to eat fermented foods every day, like a cap of apple cider vinegar every morning or on your salad. This feeds your body the right probiotics and bacteria, enabling you to digest more efficiently.

The fourth S stands for SUPERFOODS and SUPER GRAINS.

A simple yet effective way to pack more nutrients into any meal is to add seeds like hemp and chia, which classify as superfoods. Start adding them to your juices, smoothies, and salads as the cherry on top of your super-packed meal. Other superfoods include avocado, kale, spinach, buckwheat, goji berries, acai, seaweed, and so much more. Start adding these ingredients to your routine meals to get more of your daily nutrient intake.


The fifth S stands for SUPPLEMENTS.

Vega One is a powder rich in protein, fiber, and minerals. It has veggies, greens, antioxidants, probiotics, and just tastes amazing! Try adding this to your smoothies for an extra burst of flavor and energy. So as a practical overview, wake up with deep breathing since your body just finished a full night of shallow breaths, and implement the 5 S’s throughout the day, one at a time. Here's the problem: It's also easy not to do." Failure is defined as a few small errors in judgment repeated every day, while success is defined as a few small disciplines repeated every day.
