Some of the greatest strategies for getting yourself out of "being stuck" are often times the simplest strategies.
Tony Robbins is famous for many reasons, but I believe one of the primary reasons he exploded onto the scene decades ago was because how fast he helped people create transformation.
How does he do it? He calls it "The Triad!" The triad makes up 3 parts of what creates human emotion: Physiology, Focus, Language patterns. Anytime you are feeling a particular emotion one of the best ways to understand your "stuck" emotional state is to become aware of the patterns that are creating the emotion in the first place.
For physiology, what are you doing with your body when you are feeling stuck? What is your breathing like? Are you standing or sitting? Are you tight or relaxed? There is a very specific pattern of physiology that you implement - that is often unconscious - that fires off when you go into a "stuck"' emotional state. Think about it when you are happy and strong. What are you doing with your body when are feeling this way? Again, what is the pattern of physiology that you go into when feel these emotions? What is your breathing like? Are you standing or sitting? Are you tight or relaxed? Whatever emotion you feel there is always a corresponding pattern of physiology that goes with it.
The same goes for the focus and language patterns. What are you focusing on when you feel stuck? Are you focusing on the opportunities or the challenges? Are you focusing on what's right about life or what's wrong with life? What about the phrases, words and questions you ask yourself? What do you say to yourself when you are feeling stuck? What questions do you ask yourself when you are feeling stuck? How intense are you saying these words, phrases, questions and answers when you feel this way? The great and awesome thing about physiology, focus and language patterns is that you can shift those patterns in an instant.
You don't need to wait. In fact, within seconds you can jump up and down for 30 seconds while smiling and focus on what you are grateful for, speak out loud "Thank You" over and over again, and wham, you are no longer feeling stuck. How radical the shift depends solely on how radical you are shifting the triad. If you make a small, tiny shift, then you're going to get a small, tiny shift in how you feel. Make a huge and powerful shift, and you'll experience a huge and powerful shift in how you feel.
So, the next time you are feeling down or stuck, give yourself 30 seconds to shift any one of these 3 patterns. Shift them all in a powerful way, and you'll feel radically different. What is the purpose of this? The moment you shift these 3 patterns from a undesired state to a desired state, your brain will come up with more solutions, access greater genius and cultivate creativity on a massive scale. It is extremely difficult to solve problems, access your genius and be totally creative in a stuck state. The moment you are in a determined and fully associated state, your energy will sore and you'll be more equipped to handle life with greater confidence and ease.
Try it out for 7 days. Every time you feel stuck or down, immediately shift your triad and witness what happens.
